Pages 1-292 of Lauren Morrill’s “Meant To Be” talks about a girl named Julia who went on a class trip to London, England. On her trip, she was paired with her class nemesis, Jason, who was known for being a class clown. Julia strongly believes in fate, and that Mark, her childhood crush, is her “meant to be”. When she gets to London, she and her classmates went to a huge party. After the party, she begins receiving text messages from a foreign phone number. After she is unable to figure out where the messages are coming from, Jason decides to help her figure it out. As he helps her, she is sent on a wild goose chase all around London, leading her closer and closer to the answer to her question. As she spends more time around Jason, she gets closer and closer to true love. Jason and Julia were complete opposites in the story. Julia was a straight A student. She spent a lot of time reading Shakespeare and worrying about grades. She was raised to be very well behaved and she followed the rules to a T. Jason on the other hand was known for being a class clown. The two were not very fond of each other. But lucky for Julia, she gets to spend her entire trip to London connected at his hip.

While reading this book, I found it really entertaining. I loved the story line. Although the ending of the book was obvious after reading the first couple of pages, I still enjoyed reading it. I was somewhat interested while reading it. Personally, I think the story could have had a bit more depth to it, but what I read was still interesting. I think a bit of an unexpected twist at the end of the story would have made it a little bit better. But, the story was still interesting, in my opinion.
